Autumnal Chic
The weather has officially turned. We’re feeling a definite ‘brrrr’ in the air. By now, everyone should have brought the fader across on their wardrobes to be donning their full autumn/winter attire. I’m a huge fan of grey and much prefer to wear it rather than black, so I thought I’d share a couple of my favourite outfits that are making me feel good this season.
The dress was sent to me by French Connection. I love that it can be dressed up or down and that the pattern is most definitely there but not overwhelming. It’s wool so keeps you cosy warm, but be warned, it can be a little itchy at times.
While I am known for my dresses and heels, I recently invested in my first pair of trousers, which led to me buying a second pair (I know, I know – what’s happening to me?!). These ones are from Uniqlo – they’re olive green (though you can’t really tell from the pic) and I like to wear them with Tabio socks and my new Cole Haan flats. The French Connection cardigan has rapidly become my favourite thing in my wardrobe. I’ve barely taken it off since I got it. I do love a good knit and this is cosy warm with a lovely big snuggly collar and big pockets to keep your hands warm in. And of course, you can never go wrong with a flat cap – I picked this one up in Italy a couple of years ago.
So there you have it – a feminine look and a slightly masculine look to keep things interesting this season.
Do you have any must-have looks that you pull out every autumn?
Oooh by the way, I’ve done a guest post over on the lovely Honest Mum’s blog today – go have a looksee.
