Bangs in the Press!
It continues to amaze me that my running journey inspires others. I’ve recently appeared in a few magazines talking about running. If it goes even a little way towards getting people to think about being more active, then hey, I guess my life won’t have been a complete waste of time.
More info on the mags and articles after the jump.
Runner’s World: This very popular magazine has a feature in its August issue about people’s first races. I’m in there talking about mine; Royal Parks Half Marathon in October 2010. It was fun to reminisce about the feelings I had that day. Hopefully new runners find it encouraging.
LOOK Magazine: Featured in their Best Bodies section of the mag a couple of weeks back under ’3 Ways to Click Yourself Fit’, my Team Bangs on the Run newsletter gets a mention. If you’re looking for some tips and motivation to get running, get yourself signed up (on the Bangs and a Bun homepage, in the sidebar on the right, under the Team Bangs on the Run logo, you’ll see the box to enter your email).
Black Hair Magazine: Yes, I’m in Black Hair Magazine, talking about running (I’m fully aware there are two thing in that sentence that don’t make any sense). I’m particularly chuffed to be in this alongside my Team Bangs on the Run 2 members, Tahirah and Candice. These two make me proud every day – definitely two of the most talented young women I know. It’s an absolute honour to be sharing the pages with them.
