Wolford Social Event
Last night at the Wolford store in Westfield London, I hosted a party for bloggers to launch the brand’s Autumn/Winter collection. I have loved Wolford for a long time and wear it at every available opportunity. A couple of years ago, I struck up a relationship with their PR and together we have worked on ways to get them more involved in social media. Last night’s event was the result of that – Wolford’s first foray into blogger relations on this scale. I loved being a part of it and being able to speak to other bloggers about my passion for the brand and what they’re doing. It was a really great night. Check out some pics below.
So many people still think of Wolford at just tights, so last night was quite an eye opener for many. There’s Ready To Wear, lingerie, shapewear and of course, the ever-famous tights and legwear. The inspiration for the Autumn/Winter collection can be summed up as ‘innocence with an edge’. Some of the themes used were ’50s innocence meets 90s toughness’, ‘Audrey Hepburn Goes Heavy Metal’, ‘Rock Meets Romance’ and ‘Showgirl Meets Schoolgirl.’ You see this reflected in the collection with classic clean cut 50s lines mixed with a harder, almost bondage feel – chains and stud features on tights, strappy bodysuits and ‘legcessories’ which can be added over tights. Lace and roses also feature heavily. The collection is feminine and classic but has all these other elements to it which make it easy for you to put your own style stamp on it.
The gorgeous Fleur de Guerre of Diary of a Vintage Girl stopped by. Now that’s a girl with a killer set of pins.
DJ Radi Dadi was spinning some tunes – tres excellent party vibes.
We had the awesome WAH Nails come to make people’s fingertips look purdy and before the lovely Poppie could even unpack her kit, people were queuing.
