My Week in Grams
I love me some Instagram. So, just in case you’re not following me on there, here’s a quick update, via the art of photography and shameless selfies, about what I got up to this week. Read on for pic descriptions:
Top Left: I shared the story about when I moved to Tokyo in 2005. I landed at the airport and an employee from the company I was working for handed me that subway map and that was it, I had to get on with it. Yes, panic attacks ensued. I thought I’d never get the hang of it. But I spent a year in Tokyo and it turned out to be a year of incredible growth and learning for me. I keep that map in my purse now. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or as though I can’t do something, I pull it out to remind myself I’m stronger than I think.
Top right: I’ve been doing the Insanity workout (and discovering day by day that it really is called that for a reason. Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure). Caught sight of my bicep in the mirror and noticed it’s definitely a little bulkier than it previously has been. Yup, I was proud. Shameless selfie moment.
Bottom left: I’ve been doing sessions at The Altitude Centre once a week that are absolutely killer. I never thought you could sweat that much in 30 minutes. The session this week almost broke me.
Bottom Ccntre: My cat has very specific taste in movies. This week, he selected The Shawshank Redemption. Who am I to deny him?
Bottom right: My workout leggings collection is getting a little out of hand.
