Crazy For Cos
I have found it hard to find clothes I actually like for a while now. When I do like something, it’s out of my price range and I’m really not a fan of cheap, fast fashion. I like great quality clothes that last. I don’t know why it took me so long to find out about the shop, Cos, but I wandered in there about a year ago and frankly, never wanted to leave. I’ve been kicking myself that I didn’t discover it earlier. Recently, I’ve had a bit of a spree in Cos (I should probably just have shares in the company at this point) and I thought I’d share my current favourite outfit.
The coat was my big spend. I think a good quality winter coat is an absolute must, so I treated myself to this lovely wonder. The colour is a really lovely rich burgundy and the cut is so flattering. better yet, it’s roomy enough that I can wear a good chunky knit underneath and not look like the Michilin Man. Total win! And by ‘big spend’, I mean this coat cost £150, which I think is more than reasonable for a quality coat that will last. I go by the ‘ound-per-wear’ theory – wear it once for every pound spent on it. Will I wear this coat £150? Absolutely. Money well spent.
The top and trousers also rock my world. I love the cut of the pants and the print and colour work for both Winter and Spring. The top is a lovely deep purple and the laser cuts on the front give it a little risque but still super classy edge. The trousers were £79 and the top was £55, which again, I think is really reasonable. In fact, all the price points in there are great and the clothing is excellent quality, really well made.
Cos is a Swedish company, which makes sense, because it seems everything that comes from Sweden is basically the COOLEST THING EVER. Classic, chic, simple design is what I’m looking for at this point in my style journey and every time I go into Cos, they’re just hitting the nail on the head consistently. I look my parents in when they were down in London on a recent visit and my mother absolutely loved everything too. In fact, both of them shopped in there til they almost literally dropped. It was like a Family Bangs extravaganza!
So, Cos is my high street shop of choice. I’ve banned myself for the next few weeks ’cause I’m not joking when I say I want to buy EVERYTHING in there. But their January sale better look out!
