It’s Sunday! Treat yo’self by lazing around a little and catching up on some reading. Look! I’ve even put together a little list of good stuff I’ve read around the web this week to make it easy for you! Enjoy!
The Golden Era of Fashion Blogging is Over – yup, apparently so. And I gotta say, I think that’s kind of a good thing as it was getting a lil out of hand there for a while.
All the Fucks I Give – I’m a pretty prolific swearer myself, so I appreciate this piece.
Boston Marathon 2013…2014 – The legendary marathon took place last weekend. Both last year, with the bombing and this year, I had friends running it. This is a really great read from a guy who ran it last year and this. To hear him describe those moments of confusion as the realisation of what was happening sunk in….man, I hope I never have to experience anything like that. I cried when I read of his relief when he saw his mum, dad and wife. A definite reminder to cherish those close to us.
10 Ways to Do What You Don’t Want to Do – As one of my themes for 2014 is mindfulness, Zen Habits has become one of my favourite websites and this was a particularly good read for me.
What I Learned About Stop and Frisk From Watching My Black Son – A really interesting and important read with some really excellent points raised. And for people who think people of colour are not unfairly targeted by police, you most definitely need to read this.
